Contemporary artist based in New York City working across painting, video projections, sculpture, and land-based installations.

I was raised in Alabama and earned my BFA in New Media from the University of Montevallo. After graduating, I spent some time in Atlanta before landing in New York City, thanks to a random but fateful convergence of events. In those early years, I immersed myself in the city’s art and music scenes, collaborating with collectives and venues to explore more interactive and immersive approaches to art.

When several of those spaces tragically shut down, I shifted into contract work as a graphic designer, creative, but often grueling. After the birth of my second child, I felt a deep pull to return to my own art practice more fully.

My family owns a farm in the Southern Tier of upstate New York, where I’ve had the chance to create Earthworks and explore land-based art on and off for several years.

Right now, I’m working on a collection of paintings titled CoSleeping, inspired by my personal experience of sharing sleep with my baby. The series seeks to spark a conversation about the safety and softness every child deserves, regardless of the political circumstances into which they’re born. Each piece combines lush floral patterns with delicate line drawings to create an emotional contrast. CoSleeping is set to be released in early 2025.
